? When you take a walk in any of the cities in the west, you often see a lot of people walking with dogs. It is still true that the dog is the most useful and faithful animal in the world . But the reasons why people keep a dog?have changed. In the old days, people used to train dogs to protect themselves against the attacks by other beasts. And later they came to realize that the dog was not only useful for protection but willing to obey their masters.? For example, when people used dogs for hunting, the dogs would not eat without permission what they caught. But now people in the city need not protect themselves against attacks of animals. Why do they keep dogs then? Some people keep dogs to protect themselves from robbery, but the most important reason is for companionship. For a child, a dog is his best friend when he has no friends to play with; for a young couple, a dog is their child when they have no children; for old couples, a dog is also their child when their real children have grown up. So the main reason why people keep dogs has changed from protection to friendship.

It is obvious that the sense of humor plays an important part in our daily life. It can help establish a good relationship with others and strengthen the friendship between people.

Frequently, humour can put us at ease or overcome embarrassment. There was a time when I was so angry with my friend that I intentionally avoided speaking to him for a whole day. And then at the dinner time he told a joke to me. We all laughed. At that moment, I felt his joke was intended to break the silence between us. The laughter made us feel at ease.

The experience teaches me that the sense of humor is of great significance for all of us. Let’s learn to use the powerful way of communication.

第四档（好）：（19～24分） 表达基本清楚，缺少个别要点，有些语法错误。

完成了试题规定的任务。 —主要内容与提示吻合。 —应用的语法结构和词汇能满足任务的要求。 —语法结构或词汇方面应用基本准确，个别错误对意义的表达—影响。

--较恰当地使用了语句间的连接成分，全文结构较紧凑。 达到了预期的写作目的。

第三档（适当）：（13～18分）尚能表达，缺少多个要点，语法错误较多。
