Dear Chris,

I’m glad to tell you something about my birthday. My birthday is August 12th. We usually have a birthday party at home.

On that day, some of my best friends come to my home bringing me different kinds of gifts, such as books, cards, flowers, photo albums, and so on. My parents prepare a special dinner. After dinner we have a party, at which, my parents and friends say “Happy birthday” to me. All of us have fun in eating, drinking, singing and dancing. Of course I eat the birthday cake and noodles according to the Chinese tradition. Finally I express thanks to my parents in return for their love.
