Ms Petoskey, my seventh grade teacher at Queen of Apostles was, and still is, the greatest teacher. She was creative with her teaching styles; every new day she brought a new way of leaning literature, by using a game rap song, and other things.

I must say, the kids in my class sometimes didn’t listen to the teachers carefully, but Ms Petoskey was able to attract their attention. Her literature classroom had bean bags and fun chairs to sit in while we read, and our desks were always set up in special positions—all around the room. It looked messy when you walked in the room, but we liked it! She let us choose who we sat next to, but once we talked too much, she would move us. She allowed us to make her classroom our home.

She was passionate (热情的) about her job. She let us choose the books we wanted to read next, which made me more interested in books. It wasn’t what we had to read, but what we wanted to read. Whenever we would present ideas about literature or poems, her eyes would light up and she would become excited.

She always made sure everyone was having fun in her class and brought cakes to the classroom every Friday for our silent reading time. She was patient when we got out of hand (失控，撒野). She was always cheerful, which made me enjoy coming to school. Ms Petoskey is the teacher I still visit and chat with (even after five years). She is the teacher I can thank for making me enjoy reading!

Compared to Iron Man 1, which I really like, Iron Man 2 has more action, better special effects and is funnier.

In Iron Man 2, Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) faces two enemies—a weapon producer named Justin Hammer (Sam Rockwell) and Ivan Vanko (Mickey Rourke), a horrible-looking Russian who wants revenge (报复) for something related to Tony’s father. Besides the two enemies, Tony is also facing his own death. His man-made heart, which gives his Iron Man suit its power, is also harming his body.

My favourite part of the movie was when Iron Man uses his laser (激光) against an army of Hammer’s Iron Man robots. Everyone in the theater was cheering. My favourite special effects scene was the fight scene at a car race. Ivan tore Tony’s car apart piece by piece.

A funny part in the movie is when Natalie Rushman (Scarlett Johansson) is inside a boxing ring (拳击台) with Happy Hogan (played by director Jon Favreau). Happy Hogan tries to hit Natalie Rushman. However, he is the one who ends up on the floor.

The only problem I had with the movie was that I didn’t understand why Ivan had so much hate toward Tony.

I loved Iron Man 1 very much, and I expected Iron Man 2 to be much better. And after watching the movie, I’d like to say it is even better than I expected.

Yesterday was my first day of school. I had to wake up at 6 am and I had a bit of breakfast and got dressed in my school clothes. I got a service car to the Nile and crossed the Nile in a motor boat. Then it dropped me off at the Luxor museum and I walked to school which is at the back of the Luxor museum. By the time I got to school, it was 7 am. My mum came with me the first day. I got my school tie wrong. My tie was grey and everyone else’s was red. The shop had sold me the wrong one. So I had to change it that evening. Everyone has mobile phones but theirs are better than mine.

In the morning we did a stupid dance and sang the Egyptian national song. We had to hold on to each other’s bag as we marched to class. We had English class and boring literature and then we had math. After math the teacher gave out the books we would need for all our lessons, all 22 of them. My bag was so heavy. We had a break at 12 and we could buy food and drink. It lasted for half an hour. I enjoyed English and science. Yesterday we finished at 2:15 pm and my dad picked me up. I finished my homework soon after school and I felt happy about that.

Today, I had to go to school by myself. This morning I got there at 7:15 am. After school, I came back by myself in the motor boat again and got myself an ice cream while I was waiting for it. Today I had no homework to do. So, when I got home, I helped my mother with cooking.

Probably you have seen photos of the Grand Canyon（峡谷）, the great valley in the desert country of Arizona. But you must go there yourself to feel its true size and beauty. The Grand Canyon is one of the greatest natural wonders of the world

The canyon looks different at different times of day, and in different seasons and weather. At sunrise and sunset the red, gold, brown and orange colors of the rocks are especially clear and bright. In winter, the canyon is partly covered with snow.
