During the scholarly campus activity, one of my classmates recommended a quote to us, which goes like this: “A book is like a garden carried in the pocket. ” I do agree with this view, for a book can be something full of wonders, beauty and amazement like a garden. As Bacon once said “Reading makes a full man”, which fully indicates the importance of books.

Books play a very important role in every aspect, and reading books is one of the?effective habits of successful people. Take Guo Jingming from Shanghai as an example, he loves reading so much that he once even didn’t go home for food during the lunch break but to stay in the library reading. Naturally, he has become one of the youngest and most popular writers. What’s more, Reading skills are essential to success. Therefore it is beneficial to read and I will surely make better use of the books in my hand.
